Well today is the last 1st of the month in 2009. The time where rent is due but you use that cash to buy Christmas gifts...well, if you're in my family. This is the most wonderful time of the year right? Until the first 1st of the month rolls around. "Happy New Year! Now where's my motha f**kn rent!"

I'm sorry yall. A lot has occurred since my last blog: homework, midterms, papers, work, and the death of my laptop, thus causing my blogging to have been temporarily haulted. This semester has been verrrrrrry busy for me. It feels like I'm playing Jenga and the blocks of work just keep stacking. A brotha is trying to keep that GPA up too. 'FAME' Hitting Theaters Tomorrow!

I AM SOOOOO EXCITED FOR WHAT'S TO COME TOMORROW. AND I NEVER WRITE IN ALL CAPS, SO YOU KNOW I'M STOKED! THE MOST ANTICIPATED FILM OF THE YEAR IS HITTING A THEATER NEAR YOU TOMORROW, SEPTEMBER 25, 2009! MAKE SURE YOU GO SEE IT! I AM IN TWO SCENES AND I GOT SOME GOOD SCREEN TIME. noon quickie

Just a quick update on my life: This Labor Day weekend was pretty chill. Got to eat some bomb carne asada with some homeade quesadillas, homeade guacamole, and homeade salsa while sitting poolside watching the little kids enjoy the water. I enjoyed the company of some of my AZ home slizzles and sipped on a rather tasty sangria and bacardi limon on the rocks with a splash of lime and salt rubbed on the rim.

Okay so yesterday was probably one of the most productive days for me this school year. ASU held a Greek Open House where all of the fraternities, sororities, and campus organizations came together in one room to show each of their individual singinificances to probable prospects -- and I was one of them. I met some cool cats from each frat table I visited. I'm definitely excited as to what frat I'm going to be apart of because after last night, I am DEFINITELY pledging! So is it gonna be: Phi Beta Sigma ? Alpha Phi Alpha ? Omega Psi Phi ? or KAPPA ALPHA PSI ?

'FAME' In Theaters September 25

Hey you all! Come check out Naturi Naughton, Collins Pennie, Asher Book, and ya boy Noah V in ' FAME ' set to hit theaters on September 25, 2009 ! Yes I'm an extra, but it was my first movie!!!!!!! Stoked!!!!

MIXTAPE TIME

uh - OH . It's a go people! Noah V is currently planning on his first mixtape project! 2009-2010 should expect Noah V's voice to be heard more by the public in collaboration with some of his heavy hitting and upcoming producer friends. There has been no official release date for the mixtape, nor has a title been given, but what you can expect, is smooth vocals that compliment the track, as well as some mid-uptempo tracks that will make you say "Heeeeeeey" in your black girl voice. There will also be several experimental tracks that will incorporate a rather tasteful use of autotune--nothing overboard. There will be maybe 1-3 featured artists on his mixtape. Most tracks will be original, and some will be remakes. Noah V is coming ladies.....fellas, grab ya girl. LOL

Hump Day

That's right people! Half of the week...gone! Half way through the first week as a sophomore... Pats on the backs to you folks who are schoolin this week. God is really working yall! You can't make me doubt him...I know too much about him! That is all for the day/night!

Today begins a new semester of a new year. Class of 2012, stand all the way up! God is so good yall. *Random fact: It will be 100 degress until November...smh! This semester I am taking ENG 102, History of the US, Field History of AZ, Aging Issues, and Gender Communication..Yes folks--thats 16 credits. Deans List, here I come! Remember, God has not brought you as far as he has, to leave you!

Dear diary, [chuckle] naw i'm just playin'. But it's about that time to get in gear and handle my sophomore year here at ASU. I'm honestly looking forward to this year, meeting new people and being that squeaky wheel that keeps getting the oil. Its kinda begining to sink in as I see new incoming freshmen move into their rooms and kiss their families "see you later." This is it...this is really it! First Blog in 5 Months

wheeew!!! alot has happened in these past 5 months! Summer has came and gone, and I am back at ASU for my Sophomore year. (Praise the Lord) This blog is to basically let you know that I will be updating my blogs regularly now. Now everybody has had those days when you turn over at 6:37am too look at the alarm clock and just.....stare at it. How the hell am I gonna make it through this day? What am i gonna encounter? Who am I gonna cross paths with? You feel like you're tuned out from the world and you're mind is in a humdrum state. Like a bag of ChexMix...you stick your hand in there and dont know what you'll come out wit. A pretzel?...chip? When yo dream of being that supervisor or CEO of that fortune 500 business has been distorted. When all the sudden you listenin to "breakaway" by kelly clarkson and yesterday you was feelin "arab money" Well sometimes you just need to hear a small voice say, "i see you"or "keep it up." It really makes a difference! So if you readin this and you feel on edge...consider this your small voice.

Why is an Intelligent Black Man a Foreigner to Society?

I'm Black. Yes this is true. I am intelligent. This is true too. Do you ever wonder why white people [not all] are shocked when an intelligent black man opens his mouth to speak? Now I have absolutely nothing against white people--I'm surrounded by tons of them here at Arizona State for crying out loud! But as a young black man growing up in today's society [and for many years now] we've been known to have most likely been the suspect who was involved in the "grab n run" robbery, or that dude everyone turns and looks at when the cops come in the classroom with the k-9 in search for a drug bust. Unfortunately, when one black man messes up, it seems like all of us are supposed to fall into the domino effect. When every other word is supposed to be "nigga" and pants sizes are supposed to hang below the waist is natural, something is wrong. However, what about when a brotha like myself walks into a professional place of business with my Yves St. Laurent shirt tucked into my slacks with the fresh stacys and a tie that says determination? Why do jaws drop when I pull up in my BMW with a license plate that reads "HARDWRK"? And when I open my mouth to speak, you hear well articulated words with meanings that you have to go home and look up in your webster's dictionary? Why is an Intelligent Black unheard of? I guess I'm an alien!
